You know, sometimes we just don't know how and when to appreciate things we have. Living in Malaysia for more than 19 years, but I've never thought of Independence Day as a special occasion. But, now when I'm in the US, and remembered that 31 august is Malaysia's birthday, I really wanted to wave a big Malaysia flag outside my room. People may ask:" Wouldn't you miss your hometown?" Well, I might answer with a possible "no", but, of course, deep down in my heart, I always miss my home. Home is where I grew up, home is where my family is, home is where my friends are, and home is where I could be myself. So, now being in the US, it's on us Malaysians to prove that Malaysia boleh!!

Wao, those Malaysians staying back on Malaysia, don't look down on me, saying:"Eleh, got so patriotik meh?!" You would feel this when you are in somewhere else other than Malaysia. You would feel the warmth even stronger when you are surrounded by all Malaysians in a gathering. On the second saturday being in Iowa, which is yesterday, me and my friends had a gathering with all the Malaysians studying in UIowa. Malay, Indian, Chinese, semua ada!! =) And the food that night, no matter how badly or well cooked the food is, it's definitely delicious, why?! Because it's Malaysian food!!! Got fried meehoon, fried rice, roti john, vegetables, nasilemak, kari ayam, sambal!! OMG!! I really miss these food so so much!! Mm..
